Be a leader in environmental conservation, take action and learn about water science and stormwater pollution through education and hands-on activities.

The Water Guardian, an initiative that emerged from the 'Tu Agua Project'; a collaborative hands-on educational and outreach program. It aims to empower the Latino community to take on leadership roles in stormwater management and advocate for protecting local water resources. This program was developed in partnership with the UW Arboretum, UW-Madison Extension, Water Action Volunteers, and Wisconsin Ecolatinos.

Through education, hands-on activities, community science, and collaborations with various organizations, the project aims to promote knowledge and community action to protect and improve local waterways.

The Water Guardian workshops provide genuine learning experiences that enrich knowledge and foster a sense of belonging and pride in the local environment.

STREAM WATER MONITORING TRAINING
WATER ACTION VOLUNTEERS

Bilingual Water Action Volunteer training to learn how to monitor stream water. We visited Pheasant Branch Conservancy in Middleton, Wisconsin, where we learned to measure five parameters of stream health using scientifically proven tools and techniques.

LEADERSHIP AND YOUR WATER

In this workshop, we learn steps to become effective environmental conservation leaders.

Finding common goals to care for the environment, make a positive contribution to the community, and build a better future.
